1 fact coming for every day of advent... Day 2
British retailers set to enjoy the best growth in retail Christmas sales since the financial crisis.
Consumers in the UK will spend 2 billion pounds more than 2012. (Fascinating how analysts’ talks about an upward of 82.4 billion pound spend and the financial crisis in the same sentence?).
So, what are we spending?
Well, only 2% will splurge under £100 with the average spend falling between £250 and £499.
The HSBC have reported that Brits will spend 7% less than 2012. Women will spend more than men on present (no surprises), while men will spend more on food and drink. Check out this table.
